Using Protein and Exercise For A New You

There are hundreds of protein powders on the market these days – there is a lot of talk about how they don’t bulk you up, but in my experience unless you are trying to gain weight I would be careful about the type you choose.

It is not really hard to incorporate enough protein into your daily diet. However it is convenient for those of us who are time deficient (ie are parents/students/work full-time or just plain busy) to simplify matters by using protein powder as supplement to your protein intake.

If you are striving to reduce your body weight or even to maintain the weight you are currently at (don’t we all know how quickly that can fluctuate?) I would really recommend the best low carb protein powder that you can source.

There are a variety of ways to factor it in you can use it to replace your lunch, make sure you have a nutritious morning and afternoon tea, fresh fruit or a cup of veggie soup, or use it morning and afternoon between main meals to sustain your energy levels.

Nutrition alone is not enough to re-sculpt your body shape or shed unwanted weight you may have gained you need to use this in combination with an exercise program. It does not have to be complicated you don’t need a personal trainer, you don’t even need to join a gym. You do need to commit to getting out there and revving your metabolism with brisk walking at least most days with the weekend for resting or whatever works best for your timetable. I know this isn’t easy for people with family or in a cold or hot climate or if you don’t really feel like you want to walk around without a walking partner. That is why leasing gym equipment benefits most people in innumerable ways – you can find 20 minutes to work out without having to drive to the gym or organize child care. You can even be around to turn the oven off – it really is an excellent opportunity to follow through with your better health and fitness ambitions.

10 Pounds Gone in a Week

People want to have fast weight loss. No one really wants to have a long road for weight loss. But I would like to tell you, weight loss is a road better taken slow. The shortcuts always have risks, but this could also be a way to jump start your weight loss. This is how to lose weight the fast way.

Ten pounds gone in a week, is an achievable goal. Never think that you can’t make it, if you’re already thinking that you failed, you will fail.

Limit

You will have to limit the amount of food that you will eat. Instead of having heavy meals, try to cut it to halves. Limit alcohol, sodas, and carbonated drinks. You should limit carbohydrates if you really want fast results. Carbohydrates are the main source of energy. If you cut that from the diet, fats will become the source of energy and the one that is burned.

Change

Change the diet that you have, if you usually eat fast or processed foods. Try to change it to vegetables, lean meat, fish, and fruits. Have these servings in small size and well distributed during the day. It is better to separate meals several times a day in small sizes, to maintain the heightened metabolic rate, and decrease hunger pangs.

Move

In every opportunity, try to move and break a sweat. Exercise is the best way to burn calories. If you are planning to lose ten pounds in a week, then make this the most active week of your life. Try to jog, run, hike, bike, etc. Walk to work, climb the stairs, play running games with the kids. There are a lot of ways to move.  You could also exercise in your home fitness gym or get a good workout in using your home gym machine.

New

Try something new. Try to make up your own diet plan that you would really love, and that has low calorie level, but high nutrition level. Have fresh fruits, instead of powdered juice. Create shakes made up from different fruits. Try green tea, said to increase metabolic rate. The thing here is to open your mind to different healthy and natural approach.

Once you get these things done during your first day, then you are on the right track on how to lose 10 pounds in a week. Try to get the goal and after that, another approach will be introduced to you.

Belly Fat Exercise that Works!

You might be wondering, what is the best belly fat losing exercise. You might have tried having sit-ups and still you can’t see the results. It’s really irritating to have these belly fats stuck all around us. It gets on our nerves, especially when people only noticed them. Today I will share how to lose belly fat tips and effective exercise.

Type of exercise

Let’s make a concept first. We would divide weight losing exercise and body building exercise. Crunches, sit-ups and pushups or leg raise are part of the body building exercise. They are also called strength building. While jogging, running, walking are parts of weight losing or aerobic exercise.

The best and effective Exercise

If you haven’t figured it out yet, it is both exercises! A combination of both is the one technique that would get rid of those belly fats. This is done in a systematic approach to be effective. You might notice already that no matter how much you do sit-ups there is no significant change on your belly. That is because the fats are still there. It wasn’t removed in the first place. That’s why we need aerobic exercise to do the job for us.

Recommended aerobic exercise is 45 to one hour a day. Mind you, there are a lot of good aerobic exercise which you can do almost anywhere, and apply anywhere as well. Try to jog, go swimming, or play a game of basketball. All of these counts as aerobic exercise just make sure you reach your target time which is an hour everyday.

To get the most of weight loss, strength building which includes sit-ups, crunches, leg raise exercise are used to increase muscle tone and also metabolism. Research has shown that strength building increases metabolic rate and thus increases weight loss. A combination of both exercises would be formidable.

Other tips on how to lose belly fats

Exercise may not be enough to lose belly fats. Try to avoid alcohol, sodas, and any other carbonated drinks. Instead, have green teas and water. Also avoid too much fats and also too much eating, but eating enough and exercising enough is essential.

Using What You Already Have

While having home exercise gym machines would be great, it is not feasible for everyone to afford.  And if you, like me, have a hard time actually getting to the gym, there are easy solutions around the home that can help you achieve your goals without spending extra money.

Before I could afford a set of free weights, I made due by recycling some large laundry detergent bottles.  They have a perfect built in grip handle and depending on how much liquid is inside, they can be used for different weights.  With these, you can do any number of exercises with better results.  Curls, rows, lunges, squats, etc.

If you are reading this, then you have an internet connection.  Have you checked out any of the workout videos on youtube?  There are thousands of them in many different categories.  The longest are about ten minutes, so line up 3 of those and you’ve got a pretty decent work out.  You can even learn something new like yoga or kickboxing.

If you have cable television, take advantage of channels like FitTV and record some exercise routines.  They have a fantastic variety on this channel alone, and in different markets, there are different exercise channels to look into.  Check your cable guide to find the ones that look interesting to you.

There are also a variety of activities you can do that don’t require home exercise gyms.  Push ups and planks are a great way to build up your chest and shoulders.  Sit ups and crunches are the classic way to  get rid of that spare tire around your waist.  Fitness sports like basketball and soccer are also great ways to get fit while having fun.

All you have to do is use your imagination and think outside the box.  As long as you are willing to try your hardest, the equipment doesn’t matter.  As long as what your doing makes you feel healthier, that is all that matters.

Spend Nothing & Get Results

A common misconception about being healthy and staying in shape is that you have to spend lots of money on different home exercise gyms or pay money to work out at a fitness club.  It is not the case at all!  Around your home and beyond, make small changes can make all the difference in the long run.  And in some ways you can actually save money while getting healthier.

If you have stairs in your home, use them as part of your home fitness routine.  People spend thousands of dollars for stair climbers when they actually have stairs in their home already.  It doesn’t make any sense to me.

There are even ways to save money and get fit while doing it.  For those walks to the store or a friend’s house that are less than a mile away, walk or jog there.  You save money on gas while burning calories and getting some fresh air.

As for soda and snacks, stop buying them.  Soda is terrible for you (even diet soda), so take the money that you usually spend on soda to save up for some home exercise gym equipment.  Keep bad snacks out of the house and you won’t snack too much, especially late at night.

Instead of sitting on the couch while watching TV, do some exercises.  You could do some simple squats or lunges which are great workouts for the lower body.  Sit ups and crunches are great while watching TV.  Trying to continually do crunches during the commercial break and rest during the show.

Making small changes like the ones that I have discussed probably seem too small to make a difference.  But if you keep it up over the long term, all those little steps will add up.  And once you’ve saved up some money from eliminating soda and snacks from your diet, you can invest in some home exercise gym equipment.
